Delegate registration Guidelines

Attending the 2023 Student Energy Summit (SES2023) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a global student community accelerating solutions for the sustainable energy future. Register today to join a movement of over 50,000 students around the world! By filling out the application you will be considered as one of 650 official delegates of SES 2023.

Eligibility: Please note that you will need to be a student, early professional who was recently a student (i.e., graduated from your last academic degree between May 2020 and May 2023), or a young person interested in the energy transition between the ages of 18-30 to apply. Selected delegates will be provided with support materials to help secure any visas needed to enter the United Arab Emirates and attend the summit.

Next Steps for Accepted Delegates

Accepted delegates have been sent a registration payment link and must complete this step to secure their spot and confirm participation by October 18, 2023. All applicants who receive an acceptance email are guaranteed a spot at the event once they've submitted their final registration. Please check your email for more information.

A few weeks after you register, you will gain access via email to the event app. Through the SES 2023 app you must complete a form to update your flight and travel information. Here you will also make note of any practical details (dietary restrictions, accessibility requirements, etc) so that the organizers can best accommodate you at the Summit. 

FEES AND BURSARIES

We are working with partners to make the Summit accessible to as many students as possible. The full registration fee to attend the Summit is $1,000 USD per person, excluding flights. The cost per delegate including flights will vary based on region due to flight costs, and visa fees.

We are thrilled to share that all delegates will be partially funded.  W are able to provide a scholarship of 1,000 USD to all delegates to attend SES2023. This coverage would include: 

  • Access to all plenary and breakout sessions led by global energy experts and leaders

  • Accommodation for 3 nights in Abu Dhabi

  • All meals for the duration of the Summit

  • Access to networking and social events

  • Transportation from our provided accommodation to the venue

  • Conference kit for Delegates

This scholarship will be automatically applied and will not cover flights. Unless otherwise contacted, delegates are still required to book their own travel to SES.

Depending on funding availability and financial need, we may be able to cover visa fees, and flight fees for a limited number of delegates. However, this is subject to change on a case-by-case basis. Full funding coverage would include:

  • Access to all plenary and breakout sessions led by global energy experts and leaders

  • Accommodation for 3 nights in Abu Dhabi

  • All meals for the duration of the Summit

  • Access to networking and social events

  • Transportation from our provided accommodation to the venue

  • Conference kit for Delegates

  • Visa fees

  • Travel transportation fees
