Start Reimagining the Future at the 2023 Student Energy Summit (SES 2023). SES 2023 is where ideas are born. We are at a critical point in history as the energy transition unfolds in front of our eyes. Our mission is to ensure that youth are prioritized as key stakeholders and an essential part of this transition, as it's our future at stake.
The Summit will take place from November 29 - December 1, 2023 and is the world's largest youth-led energy conference, hosted in the Middle East for the first time. In collaboration with local and global partners, we aim to empower a new generation of energy sector leaders and highlight the success story and vision of the UAE’s energy transition.
United youth are powerful. Whether your area of expertise is finance, engineering, communications, or policy. Whether you're interested in government, private or public sector, or grassroots mobilization. Your perspective is crucial. Our interest in shaping a sustainable and equitable energy future unites us all. At SES 2023 you will have the opportunity to engage with peers, industry leaders and global experts in a multidisciplinary forum to learn, collaborate, and take action on energy.
The Summit will be hosted in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, a global hub for energy. It is strategically located in the Arabian Gulf, making it a less than an 8-hour flight to two-thirds of the world's population. Since the discovery of oil and gas half a century ago in the UAE, the nation has become a central player in the global hydrocarbon energy market and now is taking leaps to diversify its energy mix. Today the nation is home to the only nuclear power plant in the Arab world and the world's largest concentrated solar power plant.
