Alexandra Thomson
Director of Youth Programming at Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE)
Alexandra Thomson is a Nakoda woman mixed with French ancestry, belonging to Carry the Kettle (Cega’kin) First Nation, Treaty 4 Territory. Alexandra is currently the Director of Youth Programming at Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE), a national not-for-profit that promotes Indigenous leadership and inclusion in Canada’s energy futures economy. The youth programming at ICE nurtures the leadership capacity of Indigenous youth to advance community-centered projects and participate in meaningful careers within the clean energy landscape. Alexandra is dedicated to the empowerment of Indigenous communities to establish sovereignty through community-based project work and capacity-building initiatives. She is passionate about Indigenous women and youth in STEM, as she believes Indigenous knowledge can and will contribute to an evolving holistic framework in the field that will provide meaningful, long-lasting solutions for Indigenous communities and society at large.
