Larissa Crawford
Founder of Future Ancestors Services
Larissa Crawford is a published Indigenous, anti-racism, and climate justice researcher, policy advisor, and restorative circle keeper with over 14 years of experience. Larissa is the Founder of Future Ancestors Services, a youth-led professional services social enterprise that operates at the intersection of climate and racial justice. Larissa has worked with federal and provincial clients in developing training and research that centers on Indigenous methodologies, communities, and cultures. In her position as an Indigenous Policy Advisor for the Ontario Ministry of Energy, Northern Development, and Mines, Larissa reviewed and developed provincial energy policy with several Indigenous research lenses. After identifying biases that were regularly translated into the ministry’s work outputs, Larissa initiated and facilitated a series of Indigenous cultural competency training sessions for the ministry.
