Chevening Scholar in Energy and Climate Policy at the University of Sussex’s Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU)
Passy Amayo Ogolla is a Chevening Scholar in Energy and Climate Policy at the University of Sussex’s Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU). She serves as the Vice-Chair of IRENA’s Global Council on SDG7, and intergenerational council, whose mandate is to enable youth action on SDG7. Passy has served as the Regional Focal Point for East and Southern Africa at the SDG7 Youth Constituency and the Africa Network Weaver for the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) at the School of International Futures (SOIF). Her work in Energy, Environment and Climate Futures in Eastern Africa at the Society for International Development’s Regional Office for Africa is landmarked by two key publications: Energy for Whom? Scenarios for Eastern Africa and Energy for What? Contemporary energy issues and dilemmas in Kenya. She is recognized by the Nation Media Group as one of the 2021 Top 30 under 30 women inspiring Kenyans and shaping the country's future.
