Shilditya Ghosh

Cofounder and COO of Mission Zero

Shilditya Ghosh is the co-founder, former CPO, and current COO of Mission Zero, a UK-based startup developing direct air capture (DAC) technology to combat global warming. Through growing up in India and Singapore, Shil has been acutely aware of the stark consequences of climate change in vulnerable parts of the world. He started Mission Zero shortly after he co-organized SES 2019 in London, his first exposure to the rapidly growing student movement sharing his personal goals and ambitions. In the spirit of the SES Innovation Jam, his entrepreneurial journey also started by working with other young people strongly driven to make a climate impact, and identifying how their skills would have the highest impact. Fast forward to today: his startup is delivering the UK’s first carbon removal tonnage and is on the radar of the world’s leading energy transition actors. To him, this is still not enough, so he also mentors student entrepreneurs working in climate, to support the next wave of changemakers coming through.
